Thanksgiving will look different for a lot of folks this year. Reports say Thanksgiving will be 12% more expensive than last year, so you can imagine the amount of families trying to scramble and come up with a plan for this year’s festivities.
Might we suggest going out to eat?
Brad Rubin, sector analyst in Wells Fargo's food and agribusiness industry advisory group and co-author of the Thanksgiving report, says per NBC DFW that for the first time, “Americans may actually find value in eating out.”
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the cost of dining out rose just 8.6% over the last year, while the cost of eating at home jumped 12.4% over the same period.
"What is considered a luxury experience is more of a value experience this year," Rubin added.
