Is this life imitating art, or art imitating life? Either way, we couldn’t make something like this up even if we tried.
The city of Prosser, WA recently received a complaint about Halloween decorations they put up outside of city hall, and were forced to take them down.

The decorations you ask? One of a stereotypical “Karen,” complete with a t-shirt that read: ‘Can I Speak To The Manager?”
Well, some folks complained that the display was “offensive to certain type of women,” and city hall was forced to take it down.
In a statement per KOMO News, Prosser City Hall also said they would be withdrawing from the Historic Downtown Prosser Decorating Contest, acknowledging that the display was “inconsistent with the spirit of the competition.”
Further, the city says the display was not a political statement, nor was it targeted at a specific individual or group, and that they have investigated the issue internally and did not find anyone who participated in the display intended malice.
Moving forward, the city says there will be staff trainings as to why this was “insensitive and offensive to their community.”
