FAIRFAX, Va, (KNX) – A cosmetics brand is debunking claims made by the lawyers representing actress Amber Heard that the actress used the brand’s concealer to hide bruises and cuts throughout her relationship with actor Johnny Depp.

During the hearing last week, Heard’s lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft, showed the court Milani Cosmetics‘ “All In One Correcting Kit.”
"This is what she used,” Bredehoft said, holding up the concealer. "She became very adept at it, and you're going to hear the testimony from Amber about how she had to mix the different colors for the different days of the bruises
While Bredehoft never publicly identified the concealer as being Milani’s concealer, the cosmetic company took matters into their own hands.
“You asked us... let the record show that our Correcting Kit launched in 2017!" Milani captioned their TikTok, showing their followers that the product was launched in December 2017.
So how does this factor into Heard’s claims? Heard and Depp’s relationship ended in May 2016.
Those who support Heard, however, shared a link to an article by Glamour magazine that was published on June 3, 2016 which features the infamous Milani palette. But one fan of Depp allegedly used an internet archive which showed that the product was not featured in the original Glamour article, according to Newsweek.
Milani has not released a statement on the Glamour article at this time.
Heard and Depp are in a defamation trial in Virginia as Depp is suing his ex-wife for $50 million after she wrote an op-ed for The Washington Post in 2018 saying she was a victim of domestic abuse. Although Depp wasn’t named in the op-ed, Depp said it cost him acting jobs.
