A new report utilizing analytical data from Google has determined the "nerdiest" states in the U.S.

The report was compiled by Lombardo Homes and looked at the different types of pop culture memorabilia people display in their personal spaces across the nation.
The study found that Marvel Comics merchandise, likely fueled by the company's decade-plus of popularity with moviegoers, is the most frequently-searched. The Star Wars franchise placed second.
Disney, Harry Potter and Nintendo round out the top five.
As for the places with the highest concentration of residents engaged in searching out "nerdy" pursuits, Nebraska topped the tally.
The Cornhusker State was joined in the top five by New Mexico, Nevada, Utah and Kansas.
Arkansas, Iowa, Mississippi, Connecticut and Oregon complete the top 10.
And when it comes to displaying a nerdy obsession in the home, the decoration du jour seems to be a stuffed animal or figurine. That particular type of collectible is displayed 54% of the time.
Wall decor representing a fandom is chosen 47% of the time. Mugs and blankets also sat above the 40% threshold.
