Travelers who endured massive flight cancelations by Southwest Airlines could find a consolation surprise in their inboxes.

Southwest has been quietly handing out The airline’s LUV vouchers, aptly named for where the company is based — Love Field in Dallas. The vouchers are in addition to refunds the airline is required to give following the hundreds of cancellations over the weekend, said USA Today.

After more than 1,900 flights were cancelled by the airline last weekend, leaving would-be passengers stranded nationwide - the news source reported that several people have received emails from the company, with a gesture of goodwill and hopes that they will continue choosing Southwest.

“You matter to us...we hope this LUV voucher will allow our paths to cross again soon so we can have a better experience,” one email with a $250 voucher said, according to the news source.

The vouchers have varied amounts, USA Today reported, with some customers receiving $100 and others up to $250.

It seems that the airline isn’t issuing any public notice just yet. Southwest’s last news release was on Wednesday, Oct. 13. In it, the company said normal operations had resumed and again apologized for the delays and cancellations that customers and employees had to endure.
