Donald Trump is once again the president-elect of the United States, defeating Vice President Kamala Harris.

He secured enough electoral college votes to surpass the 270 threshold early Wednesday morning after winning several key battleground states including Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, and Wisconsin.

Trump declared victory at his campaign headquarters in West Palm Beach.

“I want to thank the American people for the extraordinary honor of being elected your 47th president and your 45th president,” he told the crowd.

He went on to say he intends to fix the border and "everything about our country."

"We made history for a reason and the reason is going to be just that," he said.

In his speech, Vice President-to-be JD Vance praised Trump's victory as "the greatest political comeback in the history of the United States of America."

"Under President Trump's leadership we are never gonna stop fighting for you, for your dreams, for the future of your children," he said.

Vice President Kamala Harris officially conceded during a Wednesday afternoon speech at her alma mater, Howard University.

“The outcome of this election is not what we wanted, not what we fought for, not what we voted for,” Harris said. “But hear me when I say, the light of America’s promise will always burn bright, as long as we never give up and as long as we keep fighting.”

She urged her supporters to remember that now is not the time to give up; it is time to "roll up our sleeves."
