Alameda County deputy on the run after double slaying in Dublin

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – Authorities are searching for an Alameda County deputy in connection with the fatal shooting of two people early Wednesday morning.

Devin Williams, Jr., 24, is considered armed and dangerous, law enforcement officials warned.

At around 12:45 a.m., Dublin Police responded to the 3100 block of Colebrook Lane due to reports of a shooting. When authorities arrived, they found a man and woman suffering from gunshot wounds. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

According to an Alameda County Sheriff's Office press release, Williams, Jr. was allegedly identified as the shooter by witnesses. He has a home in Stockton and may be driving either a gray 2007 Volkswagen Jetta with a California license plate 6MEA916 or a 2015 Hyundai with a California license plate 9BMB449.

Anyone who sees Williams, Jr. is asked to contact 911 immediately and to not try and contact him.
