Fire crews respond to San Carlos Airport due to reports of plane crash

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – Fire crews are responding to an incident at an airport in San Mateo County due to reports of a plane crash.

A small plane went down at the San Carlos Airport on Tuesday, the San Carlos Fire Department confirmed to KRON.

The plane landed on its wheels and hit a fence shortly before 12 p.m., the station reported. It is unknown if anyone was injured in the crash.

San Carlos Airport is a reliever airport for San Francisco International, located two miles northeast of San Carlos.
