Videos taken by passersby showed a stalled 18-wheeler truck leaning against the bridge’s bracing with one set of wheels in the air, and a smaller trailer lying completely on its side.

In another video taken Sunday, fierce winds appeared to peel off the front end of a passenger vehicle.

According to the California Highway Patrol, only one person was hospitalized with Sunday’s accidents—the driver of a Toyota sedan whose vehicle was trapped under a flipped semi-trailer truck. The driver was transported to an area hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Elsewhere in Northern California, severe storms flooded roadways, downed trees, and triggered mud slides. By Sunday morning, more than six inches of rainfall had been reported in areas around San Francisco and Sacramento.
