Irvine Police arrest man accused of sexually assaulting woman

**Dybdahl has been charged and pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in a Santa Ana jail courtroom.**

IRVINE, Calif. (KNX) – Police arrested the man accused of sexually assaulting a woman near the UC Irvine campus.

Brandon Dybdahl, 23, was arrested at a Laguna Hills residence Wednesday, according to the Irvine Police Department. Police also said the white sedan seen in the surveillance video was found at the residence where he was arrested.

Police said Dybdahl admitted to sexual assaulting the woman while he was making a delivery, KCAL News reported. It was also revealed he's living with a friend in Laguna Hills.

The outlet also reported he was arrested on a warrant for a hit-and-run in San Bernardino.

He was booked on suspicion sexual battery and false imprisonment.

Video released by the department showed the man approaching a woman crossing the street and grabbing her from behind. After a brief struggle, he ran off.
