DALLAS (JACK FM) — Outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and fishing are always a good time; that is until wild animals get involved. Rarely do people think about the animals they may encounter when planning these activities. Sadly, one man was forced to learn that lesson that hard way recently, as his hike ended early after he was chased by a mountain lion.
Earlier this month, a California man was hiking near Pyramid Lake when he came across un unexpected visitor. As seen in the clip that recently went viral, the man is filming as he walks down a path, but soon begins running. Eventually the camera shows what’s happening behind the man, as a mountain lion chases him down the path. Luckily, the man eventually scared off the animal, turning around and yelling, sending the mountain lion in the other direction.
According to Bro Bible, Pumas are common in the area, so hikers have come to expect animal sighting. However, rarely are people chased down a mountain by one. Hopefully next time, the man uses the buddy system while hiking.
