Napa police recover $65k worth of stolen designer sunglasses

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KNX) – Three people were arrested after Napa police recovered over 215 pairs of stolen designer sunglasses worth over $65k on Thursday.

Around 6:45 p.m., three men went into the Sunglass Hut Outlet Store and filled up garbage bags with stolen sunglasses. The sunglasses ranged from $200 to $530 a pair, the department said.

A store employee who caught the license plate of the suspect’s car provided the information to police.

American Canyon Police saw the car on Highway 29 and attempted to pull the car over, a pursuit beginning.

“The vehicle pursuit went all the way to San Francisco and assistance was provided by the Napa Sheriff’s Office and the (California Highway Patrol),” police said.

The suspects were arrested near 6th Street and Highway 80.

The identity of the suspects have not been revealed; however, police said one of them was a juvenile.
