Everyone loves the occasional “blast from the past,” and luckily for those that grew up in the 80s some major nostalgia is coming soon to DFW.
It was recently announced that an 80s style “adults only” roller skating rink is being built in the Dallas Design District. ‘Ride On’ is expected to open in the fall, bringing a new twist to the classic activity.
When Ride On opens later this year, they hope to revive the classic roller skating rink by adding an "elevated" social experience to it. The new roller skating rink is yet to be built, but when finished will be located next to Texas Ale Project at 170 Pittsburg St.
According to Dallas Culture Map, Ride On will feature a “social drink rink” with a chef-driven menu, arcade area, DJ booth, and more.
"We can say there is nothing like this in the world. Trust me, we’ve checked. An adult-only roller rink, quality food and beverage, state of the art sound system, custom made skates and we can't wait to reveal who our chef is," said Adrian Verdin of On Brand Hospitality. Hopefully not too many hips are broken here by people trying to hard to relive their glory days.
