The traditional college football "Kickoff Classic" has been put on hold at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Every year the "Kickoff Classic" game at AT&T Stadium features a big time game between two schools that don't normally play each other the first week of the college football season. But this year, the game will not be played.

Reports say organizers cant seem to find two teams willing to play in it.

Last year’s game with Kansas State defeating Stanford, 24-7, drew just 28,000 fans, the lowest total in Classic history. One reason schools seem reluctant is that many schools have put a lot of money into their own stadiums, so playing a top non-conference opponent at the neutral-site is less financially attractive.

Also many merchants have been putting pressure on athletic directors for more home games, a 'cash cow' for many.

Organizers vow the game will be back, but they just have to find the right schools.
