At year end, Texas Governor Greg Abbott says Operation Lone Star has led to 23,000 criminal arrests of illegal border crossers.
Since the launch of Operation Lone Star, the multi-agency effort has led to over 336,000 migrant apprehensions and more than 20,000 felony charges according to the Governor's office.
Also, Texas has bused over 16,000 migrants to sanctuary cities like Washington D.C., New York, Chicago and Philadelphia.
Abbott says Operation Lone Star, "fills the dangerous gaps left by the Biden Administration's refusal to secure the border and is designed to secure the border" and stop cartels and criminals from smuggling deadly drugs, weapons, and people into Texas.
