In partnership with the SPCA of Texas, NewsRadio 1080 KRLD brings you 'Adoptable Pet Pals,' a weekly feature to introduce you to animals that are ready for adoption.
KRLD's Kristin Diaz along with Maura Davies from the SPCA highlights the critical need for adopting families at local animal shelters by showcasing an "Adoptable Pet Pal" that has stayed at the shelter too long.

Meet Coral! This little 6-month-old baby girl is a bundle of joy and curiosity. With her bright eyes and infectious giggles, she's sure to light up your day! Coral loves to explore new things, and her tiny paws are always busy playing with toys or dancing along to her favorite music. She may be young, but she's already showing off her strong and determined spirit, eager to learn and grow every day. So why not come and say hello to Coral at the SPCA of Texas' Dallas Animal Care Center at 2400 Lone Star Dr? They're open every day from 12-6, so drop by and let Coral put a smile on your face!

Sunday
Meet Sunday! She is a wonderful dog waiting for a forever home in foster care with the SPCA of Texas. She is hoping since it is Foster Month that the stars will align, and she will get a heavenly family. Sunday is a 6-and-a-half-year-old Labrador Retriever mix who weighs 53 pounds and is covered in a beautiful black coat. Get her out in a play yard and she can burn off some steam. She likes playing with toys, people and other dogs too. She would like to meet any other dogs and kids in the home before an adoption takes place. Click on her profile at SPCA.org/dogs to make an appointment to meet her today. https://spca.org/adoptable/sunday/

Twinkles
Meet Twinkles! She is an older lady, and a prime candidate for someone wanting a calmer companion in the home. She is more than 10 years old now, so she prefers naps to play time. She has a black coat with a little salt shaken into the whiskers. She’s a tiny little thing at only 9 pounds. She came to the SPCA of Texas from a hoarding case, so she has not gotten the individual human attention she deserved in the past. She is a little on the shy side at first, but she has a sweet side that shines with familiarity. Twinkles is also in foster care, so an appointment is necessary to meet her. https://spca.org/adoptable/twinkles/

Scooby Doo
Meet Scooby Doo! He’s named after a cartoon, but this guy is the real deal. Scooby Doo is a Great Dane mix who came into the SPCA as a stray. He weighs 95 pounds, and that big frame is covered by a very pretty tan-to-white coat. Not much is known about his past, but he has been a joyful goofball since his arrival. He cranks out the zoomies in the play yard while frolicking with his four-legged and two-legged friends. He seems to do well with children, but he’s a big, energetic boy so bring the whole family down to meet him. Scooby Doo is also available as a foster-to-adopt! https://spca.org/adoptable/scooby-doo/

Precious
Meet Precious! She is a 10-year-old Domestic Shorthair mix who weighs a dainty 6 pounds. She has a gorgeous coat of white, gray and black fur with some hints of brown thrown in. Precious is a very shy older lady who came into the SPCA of Texas with her mother and sister after their owners could not take care of them anymore. Her mom and sister have been adopted. Precious is now hoping to meet up with a wonderful cat person who knows how to give a girl a fresh start. She’ll need some calm time to acclimate, and she’d be quite happy to find another confident cat in the home to help her learn the ropes. https://spca.org/adoptable/precious/
