Meet Mona! She is an adorable Pittie mix waiting for her forever home with the SPCA of Texas. She is a large dog at 66 pounds, and she is covered with a classic black and white coat that sort of looks like a little tuxedo on her. She is 5-and-a-half years old and thinks it is high time she found her forever family. Anyone who enjoys playful pups will love Mona, she likes to blaze a trail across the play yard and end with a refreshing dip into the doggie pool. She came to the SPCA of Texas as a stray last year and has done remarkably well in transitioning and getting to know the staff at the shelter.

Meet Deuce!

Meet Deuce! He is a Terrier, American Pit Bull mix who is three-and-a-half years old and comes in at 65 pounds. He is covered with a classy little black and white shorthair coat that makes him look very dapper. He is a very energetic and playful dog who loves to romp around and goes crazy over just about any kind of toy. He is also very friendly, and Deuce just isn’t too picky about what kind of home he goes to. As long as he has responsible people parents who love him and make sure he gets his exercise, he’ll be happy. He is currently in foster care, so a prior appointment is necessary to meet him.

Meet Brandy!

Meet Brandy! This is a 56-pound little lump of love. Brandy is a Pittie mix who has been patiently waiting for a forever family to adopt her at the SPCA of Texas. Brandy is a little snuggler and loves getting lots of attention (a few tasty treats would be greatly appreciated too). Get her out in a play yard and you’ll find she has plenty of energy to keep up and play with her people friends and other dogs. She does well with kids too, so bring the whole family down to the shelter to meet her. Brandy would love to have a big, fenced-in yard, but a low traffic apartment could work too. Come meet her!

Meet Sylvester!

Meet Sylvester! He’s one chill dude currently waiting for a forever home in the cat rotunda of the SPCA of Texas’ Dallas Animal Care Center. Sylvester is a domestic shorthair mix with a regal coat of black and white fur. He also has a very captivating pair of big yellow eyes that grab your attention immediately. Like many cats, Sylvester can be a little shy around people he is meeting for the first time. He very much wants to go to a home where there is another cat to show him the ropes. He prefers mature company so he is hoping to go to a home where all the kiddos are at least 15 years old.

KRLD values the connection between animals and people. Through the incredible selflessness of animal advocates who rescue, rehabilitate, foster, and adopt animals, we hope to be partners in finding safe and forever homes for these animals in need.

Regular adoption fees are $150 for puppies and kittens aged 0-6 months and $75 for adult dogs and cats aged 6 months or older. Fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, a heartworm test for dogs six months and older and a FIV/FeLV test for cats 4 months and older, initial flea/tick preventative and heartworm preventative, a microchip, 30 days of PetHealth Insurance provided by PetHealth, a free 14-day wellness exam with VCA Animal Hospitals, a rabies tag and a free leash.
