Three Tarrant County mayors on Thursday signed an open letter calling for a change in leadership at the Tarrant Appraisal District.

The mayors of Colleyville, Keller, and Southlake issued the letter calling for the ouster of Jeff Law, the chief appraiser at the Tarrant Appraisal District.

It comes following the latest scandal to hit the agency, in which Cal Wood, TAD's head of information systems, was captured on audio telling co-workers that he supported a false narrative into TAD's website issues.

Wood was suspended for his actions.

Earlier this year, TAD's board spared Law his job amid calls for his firing, issuing a letter of repair to address issues it said damaged the agency's credibility.

The mayors' letter comes two days after Tarrant County Judge Tim O'Hare called for a change in leadership.

Law did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
