A Richardson man may be locked up for another 10 months before he can go to trial over his role in the January 6th U.S. Capitol riot.
Garrett Miller of Richardson is considered one of the more dangerous U.S. Capitol rioters. The feds say he called for the assassination of Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez. They also say he not only had videos of being inside the capitol but that he responded to those saying it was staged saying he indeed had gained access.
Since his arrest, the government has been handing over, what Miller's attorney calls, a mountain of evidence. He says he won't have time to get through it all and be ready for trial until October. That troubled the DC Federal Judge who ordered the government to step on it and get the defense all of the material in a timely fashion.
Instead of setting an October trial date, the judge wants to talk about it again next month. In the meantime, Miller remains behind bars.
