Cook Children's situation is dire, asking for parents help

Things are getting so bad at Cook Children's, that the hospital system had to shut a facility down. The facility in Hurst was shut down due to staff shortages and high demand.

During a news conference Wednesday, several physicians say Cook Children's is seeing more severe illness now than at any point during the pandemic.

On Monday, Cook Children's opened a third COVID unit for the first time during the pandemic. They saw a record 601 patients.
