
An appeals court has finally ruled that the Fort Worth School board cannot be enjoined from issuing a mask mandate even if masks are no longer needed.
The ruling has been issued as school districts across the state are dropping mask requirements.

Parent Jason Smith, who has an immune-compromised son, no longer objects to "no-masks." He says the coronavirus appears to be contained. But he still wants the courts to decide who has the say; The Governor or the local officials.
"We want the school district to be able to react to the facts on the ground and science," Smith said. "If cases go up, they can impose a mask requirement. But thankfully right now, cases are going down."
The School district is on break this week and could make a final decision next week.
