Health officials in Dallas County have said a man has died from heat-related causes. It's the second heat-related death in Dallas County this summer.

They said the man was 77 years old and did have some other health problems.

"We are very saddened to report our second heat-related death this season," said Dr. Philip Huang, Director of Dallas County Health and Human Services. "We encourage everyone to take precautions to protect themselves and their children from heat-related illness as temperatures remain high throughout the summer. Hydrate constantly and limit your time outdoors to protect against the intense heat."

They're urging people to limit their outdoor activities to early morning or late evening. There's also a county program that can provide window AC units to homes that don't have air conditioning.
