Dallas (1080 KRLD) - This is the last day for the COVID-19 mass vaccination clinic at Fair Park in Dallas. It has delivered hundreds of thousands of vaccine doses since it was opened in January.
At one point, the site was capable of delivering more than 10,000 doses per day. However, the number of people taking advantage of the mass-vaccination site has decreased as COVID-19 vaccines have become more available at doctor's offices, pharmacies, and grocery stores.
Dallas County officials announced in June that the last day for the Fair Park vaccination clinic would be July 17th.
The site will administer the first and second doses of the vaccine today between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Appointments are not necessary, but officials say that registering in advance through the county's website can speed up the process.
