After talking it over for four days, a jury in Dallas has convicted housing developer Ruel Hamilton in a federal bribery case that led straight to Dallas city hall.

Hamilton was found guilty of bribing two one-time Dallas city council members, Dwaine Caraway and Carolyn Davis, to get their backing for development projects.

Two years ago, Davis died in a car crash after pleading guilty in this same case.

Caraway is currently in prison for an unrelated public corruption conviction.

Hamilton will be sentenced in November.
