Dallas police are investigating a burglary that turned fatal on Sunday night.
Police say they responded to a burglary call at around 9:40 p.m. in the 2500 block of Indale Avenue.
Once on location, police were informed by residents of a man, identified as 33-year-old Roman Valle, lying face down outside, having sustained a gunshot wound. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to police, Valle had threatened residents via a window he had broken with a large rock. One of the inhabitants, who was under the impression that Valle would enter the home to harm those within, then shot him through the blinds.
As it stands, nobody has been charged.
