Dallas (1080 KRLD) - The Dallas Mayor's Back To School Fair is back for the 25th year in a row this August.
The 2021 Dallas Mayor's Back to School Fair will take place on Friday, August 6th, at Fair Park. The day will consist of a drive-through event from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and a walk-up event from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
In order to qualify to receive the free school supplies, kids must attend school in the Dallas ISD, and their families' incomes must be below a certain threshold, given the family size.
Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson says outside help is always welcome whether that's by providing supplies or volunteering. Between 100 and 150 volunteers will be required to run the event.
