Rockwall Police say a Dallas Police officer was hurt in an accident just before 1 p.m. today on the service road of I-30 just west of FM 549.

Police say the officer was on his motorcycle and had previously been helping with a funeral escort. No word on the details of the crash but the officer was the only one involved.
The officer was taken to a hospital for treatment and police say his injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.
