Denton County (1080 KRLD) - A Denton County grand jury has returned a capital murder indictment against a man who is accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend then fleeing the scene in an Uber.
22-year-old Simeon Bonilla is being held on a more than $500,000 bond.
Denton Police Officer Allison Beckwith says on April 28th, Bonilla shot 19-year-old Cassidy Hinojosa near I-35 E in Denton.
When police learned that Bonilla had taken an Uber to Dallas following which they sent officers to the address where the Uber was headed and arrested Bonilla.
