Arguments have been heard and now a federal judge is deciding the legality of the new Texas abortion law.

The Biden administration has stepped in, urging judge Robert Pitman to block the law, which has banned most abortions in Texas since early September, but enforcement is solely left up to private citizens.

Thousands of protestors of the new law took to the streets Saturday across the country including Dallas and Fort Worth. One protester in Dallas said she remains hopeful that this bill will be overturned.

"We're gonna do this, we're gonna get this overturned," she said. "Until we do, we're gonna support the women out there who need abortions, help raise money, get them the service they need, make sure they stay safe, and keep them healthy."

The judge has not indicated when a ruling could be made.
