Anytime someone is complaining about losing an item, they are almost always asked “where did you lose it?” Of course, if that answer was known the item likely wouldn’t be missing. However, now people in DFW have an answer; most likely in an Uber. The ride share app recently unveiled their sixth annual Uber Lost and Found Index, and this year DFW landed in the top five most forgetful cities list.
Some very strange items have been left in Uber vehicles over the years, and this year is no different. As part of this year’s Uber Lost and Found Index, the ride share app claims drivers found items such as a metal leg, a painting of Kung Fu Panda and pink air pump shaped as a pig, a brown tortoise and someone’s teeth in their cars. Of course, some of these items could have been from riders in Texas, as three cities in the Lone Star state made Uber’s top five most forgetful cities list.
According to NBC DFW, Dallas ranked as the fifth most forgetful city; while Houston was number three and Austin for the second year in a row took the number one spot. Overall, the most common lost items were phones, wallets and keys. Check out the entire list here. Hopefully by next year, DFW is a bit less forgetful.
