The Electric Reliability Council of Texas is not anticipating any rolling blackouts or conservation alerts during the first part of this week, as many parts of the state experience temperatures in the mid-90's or even over 100 degrees.

ERCOT did issue a notice last week to power plant operators asking them to postpone any regularly-scheduled maintenance that would take their plants off-line. The goal is to make sure those plants are generating electricity as more people across the state use their air conditioners. About 30 percent of power plants had scheduled maintenance before the notice from ERCOT.

ERCOT's Advanced Action Notice will remain in effect through Wednesday.
