Police in University Park say a man was killed Tuesday night near Snider Plaza. The shooting was the first homicide in University Park since 2005.
Police say people started calling 911 about 7 p.m. to report a shooting just north of Snider Plaza. Witnesses say they heard gunfire, and a man was then pushed out of a pick-up truck into the street near the Shell station at Snider Plaza and Lovers Lane.

University Park Police say a witness started CPR and an officer joined the effort upon arriving. They say paramedics started medical attention when they arrived, but the victim died at Parkland Hospital.
Police have not identified the victim, described as a Hispanic man in his 30s. University Park Police say they are working with the Dallas County Sheriff's Office on the investigation.
Witnesses described a "newer model F-150, either gold or brown in color" with two people inside. They say the truck drove south away from Snider Plaza after the shooting.
Wednesday night, police said they were looking for a potential motive.
University Park Police have not made any arrests. They are asking anyone who might have information to call (214) 363-3000.
