A Federal Judge will decide the sentence for a Keller man who has pleaded guilty to his part in the deadly insurrection at the US Capitol, and the sentencing could come down to a video.
According to court reports, there is a disput over Paul Conover's role in the deadly riots at the US Capitol building on January 6th, 2021.
Conover has pleaded guilty to a charge of parading in the US Capitol, suggesting that he did nothing more than go inside the building as Congress was about to certify the Electoral College, taking a few selfies and then leaving. At least that's what the defense says.
During a court hearing prosecutors say other video shows a different story. They say it shows Conover pushing past not just one, but two police lines.
In reality both sides are talking about the same videos. Judge Florence Pan says she will look at the video herself and decide what she is seeing, and the judge says if she sees more than walking through the Capitol and selfies it could affect the sentence which is to be imposed later this month.
