White Settlement police are still looking for an armed felony suspect who got away yesterday.
Police had a warrant for a man wanted by Fort Worth Police. They were trying to pull over a car when the driver slowed down near an apartment complex, and the passenger bailed with a firearm and a backpack.
Reports say the driver sped off and Fort Worth police are still looking for him.
On the ground, White Settlement officers chased the passenger who during the pursuit tossed a gun into some bushes. Police found it and are holding it for evidence.
Meanwhile, with help from a Fort Worth police helicopter, officers searched the complex all afternoon including vacant units but were not able to find the suspect. But they believe they know who the driver is so they think they'll find him and perhaps that will lead them to the felony warrant suspect.
