A former Flower Mound city councilman is up on child sex abuse charges.
Officials say Jim Pierson is charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14. In fact, Pierson's granddaughter says she was just 8-years-old when the abuse began - and it continued for about three years until she told him to stop or she would tell someone.
Among the abuse listed in police documents, the grand-daughter claims Pierson touched her inappropriately, showered with her and showed her pornography.
He is now out on a $50,000 bond.
