An officer with the Forney ISD was treated at a Dallas-area hospital after being injured on the job on Monday afternoon.
The officer had responded to a fight at North Forney High School involving several students. Officials say the officer was escorting one of those students off-campus when they were both struck in the head by something. The student was also taken to a hospital.
They're both expected to be okay.
The school does have security cameras and investigators are reviewing footage of the incident.
