A Kaufman County woman has been indicted for capital murder in the stabbing deaths of three of her own children and attempted murder of two others.
Ellis County prosecutors will seek the death penalty against 25-year old Shamaiya Hall of Forney for the March 3rd murders of three children and the attempted murders of two others.
Police reports say the children were all at a home in Ellis County when it happened. A CPS worker was trying to take custody of the children when police say Hall used a knife to attack all five of her kids.
Police found five critically injured children including a 6-year-old boy and 5-year-old girl and boy twins, deceased. A 4-year-old and a 13-month old were found seriously wounded.
Former prosecutor and criminal defense attorney Toby Shook, who is not part of the case, says it will be tough to land a death penalty sentence against a mother, but it is doable.
Hall is being held on a $10 million bond.
