Fort Worth Police asking for information on hit-and-run that hospitalized a child

Fort Worth (1080 KRLD) - Fort Worth Police are asking the public for any information they may have involving a hit-and-run that took place on Saturday which left a child hospitalized.

Police say they were dispatched to the incident at 7:39 p.m. on July 10th, located in the 3200 block of Strong Ave.

According to their investigation, the incident involved a pickup truck driving eastbound when they hit a child on his bicycle. The driver failed to stop and help the child. He then fled the scene.

The child was subsequently transported to a local hospital in an unknown condition.

A person of interest has been identified as has the vehicle involved. Police say they were able to use video footage to help their investigation.

No further information regarding the suspect has been released as they are a juvenile.
