The Hulen Mall is open for regular hours today after a bomb threat on Sunday turned out to be a hoax, but a hoax that left a lot of people frightened.

Reports say mall workers helped customers find a safe space to wait it out. Police soon arrived and began to evacuate the mall.

There were also 911 calls reporting shots fired but investigators believe that as the panic spread doors were slammed and chairs were knocked over in the shoppers' haste to escape, and those banging sounds were wrongly thought to be gunshots.

Fort Worth police SWAT team officers and canine teams swept the mall but early Sunday evening they gave the all-clear.
