With hundreds of thousands of people expected at the Will Rogers Memorial Center over the course of 23 days, the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is going the extra mile to make sure all of its guests are safe.

"All the HVAC systems have had bipolar ionization technology incorporated into them," says Matt Brockman, spokesman for the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. "This technology helps remove viruses, including the SARS S-2 virus from the air, the one that causes COVID."

The Stock Show is also using special cleaners to disinfect surfaces.

"The Will Rogers Center is also using only EPA approved SARS-2 surface disinfectant products around the complex to get it cleaned," says Brockman.

The Stock Show is not requiring its visitors to wear masks or to be vaccinated, but they will be offering vaccines.

"They will have all three vaccines -- Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson, including the booster," Brockman says. "That's being administered by Tarrant County Public Health."

There will also be COVID testing on site.

"If they get here and don't feel good and they want to get a quick test, the Fort Worth Fire Department can facilitate that test," says Brockman.
