Four Mississippi residents including a woman and three men are now jailed in Tyler, accused in Thursday's Carrollton armored car robbery that ended with the guard getting shot in the arm.
Police say two guards were servicing an ATM when they were robbed.
The robbers got away, leaving the stolen armored car in the middle of the street a block or two from the ATM. The word went out around the state.
About an hour later, a four-door car was pulled over on the east-bound side of I-20 near Tyler. Knowing that a guard had been shot, law enforcement took no chances and more than 20 squad cars from the police, the Smith County Sheriff's Office, DPS, the Constable's office and other agencies responded to the scene.
The four people in the car were arrested in Tyler where they are waiting to be returned to Carrollton.
Officials say all four suspects are Mississippi residents. A woman identified as Lillie McCoy, a man named Rayfiel Gill and two 17-year-old boys named Katron Pittman and Gary Taylor are being charged.
