Tim Love is often regarded as Fort Worth’s most prolific chef, so no doubt he is garnering a ton of buzz with his latest venture Caterina’s, an Italian-American restaurant located near the Fort Worth Stockyards.

While the food is no doubt delicious, there are some other aspects of the restaurant that are grabbing some attention: No cell phones, and a dress code.

Jackets are required for all male diners, making it the first Fort Worth restaurant to instill such a code since La Piazza closed three years ago.

And cell phones are not allowed at your table.  Instead, all patrons must place their phone in a locked pouch upon entry that a waiter will be able to unlock in case you need to use it.

Love called the phone-less dining room atmosphere “truly amazing,” telling the Star Telegram,  “Tables talking to tables — [patrons] making new friends — the vibe is so great.”

Love says Catarina’s also has a wired “house phone” in case an emergency call needs to be made.

Catarina’s is open from 4 p.m. nightly for dinner.
