Governor Greg Abbott says a wall is coming along the border with Mexico.
Wednesday, Governor Abbott authorized $250 million dollars for construction of a border wall.
Abbott says they will hire a program manager to run the project and is asking for donations.
He has also sent a letter to the president demanding the federal government give land back to Texas that is seized to build the wall originally.
He first announced plans for the wall during a June 10 meeting in Del Rio. The state has already pledged $1 billion toward border security initiatives. Additionally, Abbott formed a task force on border and homeland security, to meet every two weeks to discuss ways to secure the border.

Abbott says they will work with local officials to arrest anyone who enters Texas illegally, trespassing, vandalism, criminal mischief and smuggling.
