A ground-breaking is taking place Thursday in McKinney where supermarket giant H-E-B is planning its third store in Collin County.
For more than 20 years, HEB has had a presence in North Texas through its Central Market stores in Fort Worth, Dallas, Plano and Southlake.
But this year, the company is moving in its HEB brand, beginning with Collin County. Two stores are already under construction in Plano and Frisco. And today, McKinney joins the club.
This store will be on the northeast corner of Eldorado Parkway and Custer Road.
McKinney Mayor George Fuller has been invited to take part in the ground-breaking ceremonies which will include festivities like entertainment, food and music.
