The Dallas Open, to be held February 6 – 13, 2022 at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex at SMU, announced the names of the first tennis stars who have committed to the inaugural tournament.

Former World No. 3 Grigor Dimitrov and American stars John Isner and Reilly Opelka will highlight the event, which marks the return of ATP Tour level tennis to Dallas for the first time in more than 30 years.

Individual tickets for the tournament are now on sale at www.dallasopen.com.

Isner is not only playing in the event, the Dallas resident is also serving as host and is helping with player recruitment for the tournament.

"It's going to be amazing," Isner says. "Not only do I live here, I could walk to the court (at SMU) if I want. It's going to be very cool!"

Isner (World No. 24), a Dallas, Texas resident, has been the top-ranked American player in eight of the last 10 years and in the Top 25 for 12 consecutive years, including No. 10 in 2018.

A 6’10” righty known for his big serve, Isner has won 16 ATP Tour titles during his career, including six at Atlanta, four at Newport and two at Winston-Salem, all-tournament records.

Away from the court, Isner is serving as host for the inaugural Dallas Open, and The Isner Family Foundation, established by Isner and his family, will serve as a non-profit partner for the event.
