It's a life sentence for James Floyd, the man convicted of a home invasion robbery during which a Fort Worth man was shot and killed.

Reports say the victim's wife was also shot but survived.

Floyd was initially charged with both aggravated robbery and capital murder. But the cases were tried separately and the murder case is still pending.

The jury took only 30 minutes to bring in the life sentence.
