A man seriously hurt in a Fort Worth crash last night was apparently shot first.

Police say around 8:00 p.m. a 911 caller told police that a white truck had crashed on the west-bound side of I-30 at the transition ramp to Loop 820 on the far west side.

When officers arrived, they found a chaotic scene. The truck had flipped over the guardrail and rolled several times. The driver was thrown from the wreckage, and when the truck stopped rolling it burst into flames.

MedStar paramedics quickly found the driver and as they were preparing him to be taken to the hospital they noticed he had been shot. Twice.

Between the gunshot wounds and the injuries from the crash, the unidentified man is listed in critical condition. Police have not found the gunman and they don't know why he did it.
