Another north Texas school district has made the decision to mask up.
The Mesquite school district says effective today, masks will be required for students, staff and visitors at all Mesquite ISD campuses.
The district calls it a highly politicized issue that will continue to evolve but says it will not engage in politics. Mesquite ISD officials say they just want to educate students safely, while following the law.
The district says they understand it's a frustrating situation for everyone involved. They're asking for flexibility and patience, and for now for everyone to wear a mask to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.
