A new park is bringing a different look to a busy area of Dallas.
Amid the hustle and bustle of Victory Park, Hillwood Urban and Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) have partnered to build Victory Station Plaza, bringing a one-acre public green space right next to DART's Victory Station.
Gordon Shattles with DART says it's right next to Victory Commons One - a new office building.
"November 19 the building and the green space opened up," Shattles says. "And we're already starting to hear some fantastic things from people whether they're going to a game at the American Airlines Center, or live or work in the area."
Shattles says the park space was always part of DART’s plan for this land going back 20 years.
"We're seeing new businesses and communities being built throughout that corridor, and to be able to add to that future, it's an important part for DART," Shattles says.
