Nearly a dozen Texas high schools will be represented in Sunday's Super Bowl 57 in Phoenix and six of them are in Dallas-Fort Worth.
Arlington Lamar has two alumni in the big game, Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Kyron Johnson and Chiefs back-up quarterback Shane Buechele were team-mates for the Lamar Vikings. Buechele also played college ball at both UT and SMU.
Also with the Eagles, defensive lineman Milton Williams is a product of Crowley High School. Philadelphia running back Kennedy Brooks is a Mansfield High School grad. Offensive lineman Jarrid Williams graduated from Cedar Hill High School.
Frisco Lonestar High School linebacker Nick Bolton plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, and McKinney North product Ronald Jones II is a Chiefs running back.
Elsewhere in Texas, Eagles Cornerback Tristin McCollum represents Galveston Ball High School and out of Houston, Eagles wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland graduated from Westfield High School.
Also in Bellaire, Texas, Episcopal High School alumni Marvin Wilson is a defensive lineman for Philadelphia.
And of course, both quarterbacks are Texas guys. The Eagles' Jalen Hurts attended Channelview High School in Harris County while the Chief's Patrick Mahomes was born in Tyler and graduated from Whitehouse High School.
And one more, Chiefs offensive lineman Lucas Niang played four seasons at TCU.
